Where to Watch Online

One of my favorite shows growing up was watching Growing Pains re-runs on the Disney Channel! The television show Growing Pains aired from 1985-1992 and unfortunately, it is almost impossible to watch re-runs on TV now, like I did, growing up!

So where can you go to watch? You currently have two choices, you could buy Season 1 on DVD, but unfortunately the company that owns Growing Painsnever chose to release further seasons. The good news is, that you can watch a bunch of episodes from ALL the season!

What's the Show About?

If you've never watch Growing Pains before and are looking for some good classic tv, then I'd highly recommend it. I would have to characterize this show as a Comedy/Family/Drama.

The show is about is about a family comprised of 6 individuals. The father, Jason, works as a psychologist from the home, while the mother, Maggie, works as a reporter/journalist. The three children, Mike, Carol, Chrissy and Ben are constantly getting into hilarious predicaments at school, in relationships, at work, or even with each other and Jason, the work-at-home/stay-at-home dad is usually left to sort things out in his charismatic way. It's fun to watch the show from the beginning to watch the younger kids grow up!

The show is unusual in the sense that most television shows from its time did not depict a mother working while a father stayed at home. If anything, this may makes the show more relevant to our times, today!

Watch many episodes online for free!

For now, you can watch a bunch of episodes from all the seasos at AOL's In2TV.

you're welcome! I am a sucker for classic TV! I don't care how corny it is, I grew up with it and am therefore obsessed lol. As far as I know, it's the only place to watch episodes online (legal and good quality). enjoy! :)

I do hope that they eventually release the rest of the seasons to DVD.

I loved the one with Ben and Luke, where they were putting up the Christmas tree. Dad wants it perfectly perpendicular, and finally gets it just right. The boys hang all the heavy ornaments on the top, to one side.
